Whenever possible, always choose public transport — the price difference compared to taxis, Uber, or car rental (which is mainly cost-effective for larger groups) is significant.

Keep in mind that in many countries, apps other than Uber are more popular — it’s worth using them. You can easily find them via Google.

Google Maps will help you find most public transport connections.

ACCOMMODATION

The cheapest option is usually a hostel in a shared room. Conditions can sometimes be basic, so it’s worth comparing different options.

A hostel doesn’t necessarily mean something bad — I have stayed in such places many times while traveling solo and consider them great, memorable experiences.

In most decent hostels at a reasonable price, you will find:

• a good standard (rooms, bathrooms),
• a well-equipped, spacious kitchen,
• common areas (lounges with TV),
• often pools, bars, cafés, or restaurants,
• relaxation areas, and sometimes even a cinema room.

Some hostels also organize social activities, such as yoga sessions, group nights out, walks around the area, or local attractions recommended by residents.

Apartments are the best option if you’re traveling with two or more people. They offer a high level of privacy and often include a private kitchen and bathroom. Well-equipped apartments (e.g. with a pool or spacious layout) can be found at reasonable prices.
The most popular platforms are Booking and Airbnb.

Hotels are the option I use least often. Of course, I do choose them occasionally, but I definitely prefer the previously mentioned alternatives. They are usually the most expensive, and I also prefer trying local cuisine outside.

The all-inclusive option is more associated, in my view, with typical holidays spent by the pool or on the beach with drinks throughout the day.
